Yoga Therapy and Meditation
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga is more than just asanas (postures) it is a rich, 5,000 year old tradition and philosophy rooted in discovery of the self, and promoting longevity and a state of overall (physical, mental, emotional) wellbeing.
Yoga is NOT a religion, nor does it promote any denomination of religious beliefs. Yoga is for everyone, all ages, beliefs, and religious backgrounds!!!
Yoga therapy and meditation incorporates yoga philosophy/readings which are easy to understand and incorporate, along with basic yoga movements and/or meditation practices to promote well-being, self-awareness, self-acceptance, and regulation.
Yoga and meditation have been found to be especially helpful with the following issues/challenges:
Creating present moment focus (Decreasing ADHD symptoms, dissociation).
Developing mindfulness skills
Distress Tolerance
Changing relationship with one’s body
Centering/Grounding/Affect regulation
Increasing confidence
Prenatal/postnatal mental health

Yoga Certifications:
200 hour yoga teacher training, November 2015 - Yogacara Global, Hawaii, USA.
300 hour yoga teacher training, April 2017 - Yogacara Global, Bali, Indonesia.
85 hour prenatal yoga teacher training, June 2018 - Bloom Yoga, Chicago, IL., USA.
75 hour yin yoga teacher training, November 2018 - Yogacara Global, Whistler, Canada.
Yoga/meditation Fees:
1 hour Private yoga session without therapy: $80
Yoga and meditation are complementary with therapy session fee.
Fees are due at time of service (Cash, check, credit card).
