The Benefits of a Morning Routine
Everything around us is constantly changing in our fast-paced culture. That is why it is crucial to prioritize YOU time before giving to anyone else in the world. Not taking time for yourself and having to rush around in the morning will leave you feeling agitated and overwhelmed. It is nearly impossible to give others your full attention if you have not done anything for yourself. It's important to prioritize yourself and getting up a little bit earlier each day will improve your morning and lower your stress levels. Tim Ferris stated, “If you win the morning, you win the day.” I chose to include this quote because I love this saying and believe that productive mornings can improve many different aspects of your life. Establish a morning routine that inspires you to wake up and one that is realistic. Don't think that you have to get up at five in the morning in order to be “productive”. Trying to significantly change your lifestyle all at once might be difficult and ineffective. If you make smaller, more achievable morning goals, you will be more accountable to yourself and more consistent. For some individuals the perfect morning routine is making coffee and reading a book, for others it might be doing yoga. No routine is “better” than another. If you need some inspiration for creating a morning routine look up morning routines on Youtube. There are plenty of morning routines videos out there to help inspire you into creating your own routine. What matters most is that you make it a habit to spend time for yourself every morning and show yourself love. I guarantee if you start implementing a morning routine into your life you will see changes occur in your daily life. Having a daily routine relaxes the brain and can help improve individuals mental health and overall wellbeing. An orderly schedule can aid in lowering stress, which can improve mental health and result in more leisure time, reduced anxiety, and more downtime. Many individuals have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, which often sets a negative tone for the day. Just a few little changes made to your daily routine can promote relaxation and better mental health. You will feel energetic and ready to take on the day after completing a morning routine. Begin tomorrow by getting up 15 minutes earlier than normal and notice how much better you feel mentally and how much smoother your day goes.
